Scottish Building Society has been crowned Building Society of the Year at the Scottish Mortgage Awards for the fourth consecutive year, a testament to its commitment to providing uncomplicated financial solutions to its members.
The highly coveted accolade was presented at a ceremony at The Balmoral in Edinburgh on 9 June 2022, celebrating mortgage lenders and products across the country.
Earlier this year, Scottish Building Society announced its best ever financial results in its 174-year history, with a pre-tax profit of £2.4 million.
It is also underway with the significant refurbishment of its relationship centres in Aberdeen, Inverness and Troon, underlining its commitment to Scotland’s high streets in a time where other high street banks are closing branches.
Paul Denton, CEO at Scottish Building Society, said: “We are incredibly proud of our collaborative team and their dedication to delivering an outstanding service every day, so to take home the Building Society of the Year award again is truly humbling.
“As a mutual organisation, we are run by and for the benefit of our members, so we are consistently looking at how we can enhance the reasons why people choose Scottish Building Society and I am confident that is why we continue our success. We truly are a people-first organisation.
“With a brand refresh also unveiled in early 2022, it is undoubtedly one of our most ambitious and successful years to date as we set the scene for the future of the Society.
“I’d like to congratulate all of the winners and shortlisted entries at the Scottish Mortgage Awards who all contribute to creating a resilient mortgage sector in Scotland.”
