At Scottish Building Society, we love to celebrate kindness! November 13 was World Kindness Day, to celebrate we ran a competition to give one lucky child the opportunity to be a mascot for Edinburgh Rugby v Munster on 2 December.
Our winner, Cameron (14) was nominated by his father after helping him through a challenging time is his life. The entry was very touching, and Cameron was a deserving winner. So much so that our CEO, Paul Denton, met with Cameron before he game to congratulate him.
He got to meet the squad, and lead them onto the pitch, as well as getting an exciting tour around the Scotland Team's dressing room.
Cameron is a massive Edinburgh Rugby fan and holds season tickets with his father. They regularly attend games together. He also participates in the sport and trains for Lasswade RFC.
We hope Cameron had a great experience and that it inspires him to keep playing rugby.
